Today the 60 Minute Makeover team attempts an ambitious re-vamp on Kate’s house in Ashford in Middlesex.

Kate is a young mum to two children but life has been tough for her; she’s suffered several strokes and now has serious health problems including epilepsy. She and her family moved into their housing association house a year ago but it is in dire need of an overhaul.

Kate’s nearest and dearest wanted to make a big difference to her life by refurbishing her kitchen, children’s playroom and bedroom so they called on us to perform a surprise renovation led by hot young designer Ben Hillman. Be has set himself a real challenge by attempting so much in just one hour, but he’s hoping his quirky designs will win Kate and her family over.
