Today the 60 Minute team is in Romford in Essex performing a secret makeover for devoted single-mother Cheryl.

She has battled leukemia over the last year, but is now in remission. It has been 22 years since the teaching assistant last had her house decorated, and lack of funds has meant that décor in the house has taken back seat. So her mother Janet, her son Sean, and her daughter Abbie decided that Cheryl deserved something special, and they called us in to surprise her. Leading the charge today is top designer John Amabile, who is hoping Cheryl loves his new designs for the living and dining room, kitchen and the bedroom.
