Reach for the ice-pick! ITV1 presents a second series of adventure show, 71 Degrees North, set among the glaciers and snowy landscape of Scandinavia.

The adrenaline-fuelled programme mixes spectacular experiences and perilous situations with "sheer" entertainment and breathtaking scenery.

Culminating inside the Arctic Circle, the eight-part adventure series stars 10 celebrities fighting their way to the northern-most tip of mainland Europe.

The celebrity adventurers will be split in to two teams and guided through their sub-zero experience by presenters Paddy McGuinness and Charlotte Jackson.

To get to 71 Degrees North they'll have to race in a series of challenges and for each challenge they’ll need two team leaders.

This year's intrepid celebrities include former EastEnders star Martin Kemp, actor and comedian John Thomson, celebrity hairdresser Nicky Clarke, Loose Women panellist Lisa Maxwell and Ex-EastEnders actress Brooke Kinsella.

US TV star Sean Maguire also joins the line-up, along with Olympic Gold Medallist Amy Williams, TV gardener Charlie Dimmock, Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding and TV presenter Angellica Bell.

Each week the teams will be reunited for an immunity challenge, giving the stars the chance to guarantee their place on the next stage of the expedition.

And of course, we'll also be losing a celeb each week as the adventurers are asked to vote for who they'd like to send packing.

Whoever gets the most votes will leave immediately and just has time for a quick goodbye before they leave for the airport.

So get ready for sub-zero fall-outs, heart-warming love-ins and everything in between as we begin our journey to 71 Degrees North.
