Chris has fronted some of ITV’s most memorable shows, from cult Saturday morning kids show Tiswas to current quiz show phenomenon Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
After an early career as a teacher in south London, Chris returned to his Birmingham roots as a local reporter for Midlands-based ATV. The regional broadcaster then chose him for their ground-breaking new youth show Tiswas, which propelled him to stardom.
Since those flan flinging days, Chris has gone on to become a steadfast ITV personality: from the Six O’Clock Show and Man O Man to Tarrant on TV and, of course, Millionaire. He also hosted Capital Radio breakfast show for 17 years, until 2004.
