Zoe Ball

Zoe's biography

Zoe started her TV career as a runner at Granada Television, before following in her dad Johnny Ball’s footsteps and presenting children’s programmes on the BBC.

A stint on Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast followed, before she returned to the BBC to co-host Saturday morning kids show Live and Kicking with Jamie Theakston. Zoe then moved over to Radio 1 during the late 90s, during which time she married DJ Norman Cook aka Fat Boy Slim.

After taking time out to concentrate on motherhood, Zoe returned to her TV roots with a spell on the BBC’s Strictly Dance Fever. She then co-hosted ITV1’s Extinct with Sir Trevor McDonald in 2006. Soapstar Superstar followed and most recently fronted talent show Grease is the Word.
