Jaime Sommers is in a dead-end job and struggling to care for her teenage sister. Jaime, played by stunning British actress Michelle Ryan, doesn’t believe life in San Francisco could get much harder.

But it does. When a devastating car accident leaves her at death’s door, her only hope for survival is a cutting-edge, top-secret technology that comes at a hefty price. She receives bionic prosthetic limbs giving her special eyesight, the ability to jump from building to building and superhuman powers of hearing.

The operation is carried out by her boyfriend Will Anthros who works for the sinister Jonas Bledsoe at the Berkut Group.

With a whole new existence and a debt to repay, Jaime must work out how to use her extraordinary abilities for good while weighing up the personal sacrifices she will have to make. While still coming to terms with her new powers Jaime’s life is transformed by the arrival of Sarah Corvus (Katee Sackhoff), the first Bionic Woman.

The series is about Jaime's journey of self-discovery and inner strength that will help her embrace her new life as the Bionic Woman.

Michelle is joined by Molly Price (from Third Watch) as Ruth Treadwell, Jonas' second-in-command. Rescue Me actor Chris Bowers is Will Anthros, Jaime's boyfriend, who performs the operation.

Will Yun Lee (of Witchblade) is Jae Kim, the specialised operations leader. Lucy Kate Hale is Jaime’s younger sister, Becca and Mark Sheppard (Battlestar Galactica) plays Dr Anthony Anthros, Will’s father and the man who originated the bionic technology.

Bionic Woman is produced by Universal Media Studios and exec-produced by David Eick (Battlestar Galactica) and Jason Smilovic (Lucky Number Slevin).
