Family intrigue, bitter rivalries and the ruthlessness of business are all evident in Cane, a new action-drama focusing on one Cuban-American household in South Florida.

The Duques are led by family patriarch Pancho and run a lucrative sugar and rum business.

Their bitter rivals, the Samuelses, offer them a lucrative deal, but can they be trusted? Pancho is torn as his two sons Frank and Alex both offer differing advice, but do they have their own agendas?

Frank is Pacho’s natural son and is something of a loose cannon and would rather chase women than focus on business.

Alex has a better head for figures and can see a future where ethanol could make a fortune for the family – but as Pancho’s adopted son, does he hold as much sway in family matters?

Pancho’s youngest son Henry is happy for his two older siblings to battle it out in a family power struggle while he looks on, waiting to make his move.

Alex’s three children also create family tension, one must choose between an education or sticking by his girlfriend while another is a rebel who’s bound to get into trouble sooner or later.

Trying to hold the family together is Pancho's wife Amalia, trying to bridge the gap between the generations of Duques and appease every element. With so many rivalries, both within and outside the family, life for Pancho soon grows complicated and a difficult series of decisions face him.
