Drama Trails

Exploring the suprising connections between the nation’s favourite TV dramas...

From Corrie to Kingdom, Brideshead Revisited to Footballers’ Wives and Bad Girls to Cold Blood, this new ten-parter joins the dots and reveals the often surprising links between them. Featuring a breathtaking array of British acting talent, the show takes stars back to classic locations and discovers how they brought characters to life that have become iconic.

Every week the series focuses on seven classic dramas, and is fronted by the famous faces synonymous each show. The final episode of our epic ten part Drama Trails journey takes us from Europe’s largest housing estate with Fixer lads Jody Latham & Andrew Buchan to Glasgow where Trial & Retribution hardman David Hayman recalls his roots on the Clyde steelyards.

During our intriguing travels across Britain’s dramatic map we stop off along the way to go to the church in North London where Pauline Quirke got hitched as she and Birds of a Feather best mate Linda Robson remember Shine on Harvey Moon, Paul Henry reveals that he just can’t shake off the spectre of Benny from Crossroads, Stay Lucky star Jan Francis reveals why sharing a caravan with Dennis Waterman wasn’t such a big deal and Baroness Ruth Rendell takes Inspector Wexford himself George Baker on a guided tour of the House of Lords.

Each drama is linked by location, actors or writers in six ingenious steps from The Fixer to Trial & Retribution.
