Intelligent, unflappable and brave, Henno heads up Red Troop. An SAS trooper for 15 years, he has served in the Gulf, Falklands and Northern Ireland. The Regiment is his great love – and he puts it before anything else in his life.

Dempsey grew up in Rhodesia and has impeccable military credentials. As the commanding officer of 22nd Regiment, he always puts the welfare of his men first, and still enjoys getting involved in the action himself.

Louis passed SAS selection first time. Full of his own self-importance and often excitable, he likes to stir up trouble. Louis has become a trusted member of the team – but he still likes to boast about his abilities.

Rebecca Gallagher became the first woman to join the SAS and has proved more than a match for the men of Red Troop. But she still encounters chauvinism from Dempsey and suggestive remarks from newcomer Finn Younger.

Dave transferred to Red Troop a year ago and has become a trusted ally to Henno. An expert in explosives and dismantling bombs, he has experienced the war against terrorism first hand.

Fleming is a high-flier, educated at Eton and Oxford before going to Sandhurst. As a “gentleman capable of murder”, he perfectly fits SAS founder David Stirling’s job description for officers. He’s a natural leader - but can he win over Henno?

Finn is in his mid-20s and Scottish. He joins Red Troop after a stint in America, working with the SEAL teams. Polite and open-minded, he is justifiably proud of his crack-shot ability with his state-of-the-art rifle, nicknamed “Who Hit John”.
