Life: Meet the cast

Get up to date with who's who in the hit US drama Life as we prepare for series 2.

The star of the show, after 12 years in a maximum security prison Charlie Crews sees things a little differently from other cops.  In jail he found a love for zen and on his release, he found himself independently wealthy (after suing the city for their mistake).  Now he's on the outside and back on the force.

This brash New Yorker is a new addition to the team.  His straightforward NYPD attitude is somewhat at odds with Charlie Crews' off the wall style.  But despite this, a colourful love life and a tendency to bend rules when it suits him, Tidwell is a good cop, and Charlie learns to respect his talents.

Once upon a time Stark was Charlie Crews' partner.  When Crews was put on trial for murder Bobby was threatened with imprisonment if he testified in Charlie's defence and let him take the fall.  It took a while for Stark and Crews to reconcile, but now they regularly work cases together.  Now if only he could learn to get along with Dani Reese...
