Mary J Blige has offered her support to troubled star Amy Winehouse and hailed her a saviour of the music business.

Blige, who is among the top 10 biggest selling female artists in The States, told itv.com: “I have things to say to Amy Winehouse, loving things and things she will be able to relate to. But I don’t really think she can hear me right now, because when I was in a situation like she was in I couldn’t hear.”

Earlier this week The Sun printed pictures from video footage showing Winehouse apparently smoking crack cocaine.

Plus we find out about her plans to star as Nina Simone in a new big screen biopic and hear her diva confessions.

Blige is currently over in the UK promoting her new album Growing Pains which has already topped the charts in The States. Her new single Just Fine is out here on 28th January, followed by the album a week later.
