Comedian, actor and writer Griff Rhys Jones takes up position as the host of the new series of It’ll Be Alright On The Night.
Presenting one of the longest running original clip-based shows on television, Griff will be entertaining viewers with a brand-new collection of pranks, blunders and outtakes.
The first show sees favourite duo Ant and Dec in a muddle on Saturday Night Takeaway, This Morning’s Fern Britton and Phillip Schofield dissolve into fits of giggles and Dame Helen Mirren redefines the Queen’s English when she drops a blooper on live TV.
There’s unplanned comedy from comedies The Green Wing and Nighty Night when the cast play pranks on each other on set and the scenery takes on a life of its own.
Plus there are plenty of blunders from the news teams up and down the country including breakfast bloopers from GMTV and soap favourites Emmerdale and Coronation street fall foul to their fair share of mistakes.
Dancing On Ice also features, with Andi Peters iconic ice-cipades plus Heartbeat’s PC Don Wetherby takes an untimely tumble on his police bike.
It’ll Be Alright On The Night had veteran broadcaster Dennis Norden at its helm before Norden retired in 2006 after 30 years of broadcasting with ITV.
Dennis Norden says, "I am delighted that It'll Be Alright On The Night is returning to our screens. I wish Griff every success with his outtake hunting and hope he’ll enjoy at least another 29 years on the show - but he's not having my clipboard.”
