Quick questions
Tell us about your character
Jenny is one of the kindest people you could ever meet in life. She is also tirelessly enthusiastic. She is loyal, caring and loves her friends. All she would really like to do is meet the right guy, get married and have some children. Her problem is that she is also the third strongest person in the world – and this means living a normal life is proving a little difficult.
How does your character interact with the other No Heroic superheroes?
Well Jenny is the shoulder to cry on and is always ready to listen. Alex, Don and Sarah have been her friends since school and they have become her little family. She loves them all and wants the best for them, even if their ambitions differ greatly from hers.
What is your favourite comic/superhero reference within No Heroics?
The die-hard comic readers will spot subtle references to their favourite comics throughout the series, put in there by Ben and Drew. I have to confess a lot of it went over my head - I’d got cars to push and wardrobes to lift.
Tell us about your costume – how happy were you to done a pair of tights?
I was very happy to don the tights, they were purple. Dressing up as a Super Hero is something I hadn’t done for over 20 years, and it was even more fun this time. And the tea towel my mum gave me was no comparison to the She Force clobber.
We dressed Jenny in outfits inspired by Thelma from Scooby Doo. Tank tops, A-line skirts and of course glasses. And the She Force hair is a ginger version of Wonder Woman. Hilarious! She Force also wears a fabulous purple number, think Jean Paul Gautier's designs in The Fifth Element with a big lass inside.
What is your highlight of the series?
I think it was the day I got to lift the cabinet. It actually took four men, but it looks like I do it without breaking a sweat! That, and head-butting Adam Buxton, who I’m a huge fan of. Oh and the fight I have with Sarah! It’s just great to get to be an all action heroine for once. I loved it.
Who is your favourite superhero?
She–Rah. Her outfit is great and so is her hair.
If you could have one superhero power what would it be and why?
It would be the power to time travel, so I never had to take the train, could get home from work in a second and I could pop and see my Ma and Da for a cake whenever I wanted. Perfect.
