Drew Pearce – Creator, Writer & Producer

Drew Pearce is the writer / creator of ITV2’s first sitcom, No Heroics. Having written for The Face magazine in his early twenties, Drew spent the first half of the decade in a country-rock band, which he eventually realised was perhaps not the best medium for writing jokes and telling stories.

For the last five years he has created and produced many series of note, such as the award-winning Virgin Diaries and Bedroom Diaries for MTV, all the while honing his writing and directing skills.

This culminated in last year’s acclaimed short The Musical Storytellers Ginger And Black, and coming this autumn, No Heroics. He is currently working on the follow-ups to both, and on improving his comic-book collection. Drew also exec produced High Spirits with Shirley Ghostman for BBC Three.

Ben Gregor - Director

Ben directed the first series of No Heroics.

With a background in Japanese and skateboarding, Ben has won various directing awards: for his short films – Blake’s Junction 7, Ant Muzak and World of Wrestling; and for his comedy commercials Virgin Mobile, 118 118, Amnesty International and Everyman Cancer Research.

No Heroics is the second TV series Ben has directed. Currently Ben is filming a pilot for BBC Three starring Tallulah Riley.

Dick Lunn – Production Designer

Dick started his career in the Art Department working on productions like Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge and has since Art Directed numerous productions including Jam, Big Train, Black Books, The IT Crowd and Hot Fuzz.

As Production Designer his credits include Spaced Series 2, Man/Woman, Free Agents and Éejits as part of the Channel 4 Comedy Showcase and most recently No Heroics.

Dick regularly works as an Art Director on commercials and idents, and continues to design for television comedy.

Annie Hardinge - Costume designer

Annie is a renowned costume designer with a plethora of award-winning shows under her belt. Crossing between the platforms of film, TV and advertising, she has designed costume for films such as Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, and Ali G Indahouse.

Her string of TV credits include Extras, The IT Crowd, The Mighty Boosh, and Little Britain. Annie’s design for Little Britain has won her three consecutive RTS Awards for “Best Costume Design” along with 2 BAFTA nominations.

Additional material for No Heroics has been provided through the combined talents of Daniel Peak (I’m With Stupid) and Jon Brown (After You’ve Gone).

Jon is a brilliant comic talent who, following the 2004 BBC Talent Scheme, became one of the youngest writers to work in mainstream comedy.

He is currently working with James Corden and Matthew Horne on their new sketch show as well as developing various original ideas, including a sitcom with the Peep Show team, Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong. Jon was a 2007 Broadcast Hot Shot.

Sophie Clarke-Jervoise

Tiger Aspect’s Head of Comedy is Executive Producer for No Heroics. Sophie’s impressive list of credits includes The Catherine Tate Show for the BBC, ITV1’s Benidorm, The Smoking Room and Coupling.
