Jack White and Alicia Keys will make Bond history with the first ever 007 duet for October's new Quantum of Solace outing starring Daniel Craig.

The darkly titled "Another Way to Die", written and produced by occasional percussionist White, has already been recorded according to producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.

It will be released by J Records on October 28, just three days before the hugely anticipated October 31 release of Craig's second film as the super smooth secret agent on the back of Casino Royale.

Wilson and Broccoli enthused: "We are delighted and pleased to have two such exciting artists as Jack and Alicia, who were inspired by our film to join together their extraordinary talents in creating a unique sound."

White formed The White Stripes with his big sister Meg in 1997 and the duo have released six critically acclaimed albums that have picked up five Grammy Awards, including three for Best Alternative Album: "Elephant", "Get Behind Me Satan" and "Icky Thump".

The formidable pair have also landed four MTV Video Music Awards and two Brit Awards, including the 2004 award for Best International Group, while Jack formed a second Grammy nominated band, The Raconteurs, with Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler in 2005.

He can also count on a number of movie appearances as well with his cheeky turn in Anthony Minghella's Cold Mountain followed up by another mesmerising role in director Jim Jarmusch’s Coffee & Cigarettes.

Meanwhile, Keys has enjoyed stellar success since her 2001 debut with her third studio album "As I Am" marking Alicia’s fourth number one debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart and her biggest sales week to date.

It also spawned the hit single "No One", which won two Grammy Awards in 2008 for Best R&B Song and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance in an overall Grammy tally of 11.

She will soon be seen opposite Dakota Fanning, Jennifer Hudson and Queen Latifah in Fox Searchlight's adaptation of Sue Monk Kidd’s best selling novel The Secret Life of Bees on October 17.

This comes on the back of eye-catching performances in Joe Carnahan's Smokin' Aces and The Nanny Diaries, which earned her a multiyear first-look film production deal at Disney.
