"I flew to Nice a couple of years ago and sat near Kylie. It was a small plane and she wasn’t even sitting in first class. I couldn’t stop staring so she must have thought I was a complete freak! Maybe she was on her way to see Olivier…

"Then there was the time I went from Aberdeen to Heathrow on the same flight as Prince William and Kate Middleton.

 

"They were on some sort of countryside expedition and were really sweet. She had her head on his shoulder and they were both laughing.

"It was just so nice because they were really normal! Wills was chatting to the air hostesses and was so polite to all the staff. Now there’s a man with manners. We like a well-trained man with manners.



"I also once got upgraded on a flight to Barbados - it was the only time I’ve ever been in first class - and the steward told me that my seat was where Hugh Grant and Liz Hurley, ahem, got ‘cosy’ during the flight. Talk about being in the hot seat…

"And I saw Claire Sweeney en route to Majorca as well. She spared the time to wave to me even though I don’t know her very well – how lovely is that?"
