Saturday 6th October, 8.45pm, ITV2Jack has now spent three months on the road, taking five young adults on a life changing, adrenaline fuelled, global adventure. Now, only one last challenge stands between them and the end of the road.
After having conquered the adrenaline thrills on offer in Hawaii, Jack and the recruits leave paradise behind and head east to Jack’s home base in Los Angeles.
At the start of the adventure, Jack set out to discover if adrenaline sports and the great outdoors could really change the lives of his five lazy and unmotivated young recruits. So far, they all seem to have grasped self development by the horns, but having experienced bungees, rock faces and extreme environments, there is still one final thrill to add to their adrenaline repertoire - Skydiving.
Of course there are a couple of clauses. Firstly, after only one day’s training, they will take their lives into their own hands by jumping a 13,000 feet freefall. Secondly, they will be jumping out of a WW2 DC3 plane.
Jack already has a skydiving license, but for the recruits this is a very new and very scary challenge. The group will attempt the off-level one jump; a supervised solo skydive with instructors, in case the recruits should make a life-threatening mistake. If they fail to pay attention this time, the consequences could be fatal.
As the recruits plough on with their training, Jack takes to the air for a quick practise jump. All goes well until he’s injured during landing and there’s suddenly a question mark over Jack’s fitness ahead of the big jump. His leg is simply too damaged and it looks like the recruits will have to go it alone…
Jack has taken his five young adults through hell and high water, and they are just about standing. But can Jack’s recruits keep up the good work when the global adventure is finally over?
