Jo Whiley’s live lip-lock with Angus

The cheek of it!As suave host with the most Angus Deayton sashayed around the restaurant last night, one of his live links was rudely interrupted by a wayward celeb diner careering into shot and kissing his startled chops.
Leaping up from the table where she sat with fellow Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills, glam Jo Whiley planted the offending smacker just as Angus welcomed viewers back after the break.
Later it emerged that DJ Chris Moyles had challenged Jo to make the move as a bet, promising to pay £500 to charity if she was successful.
“Chris Moyles now owes me £500 - which will go to Mencap - and he’s got to pay up!” a jubilant Jo declared. “There was money riding on this and it’s all for charity, so if I hadn’t done it then I would have felt really cross with myself.
“Angus was just so perfectly poised, standing there waiting for his cheek to be kissed. I had to! We’d been looking for him all night long, and all of a sudden he was there. I do feel like I can relax now and enjoy myself.”
“I honestly didn’t think she’d ever do it,” a stunned Scott Mills exclaimed. “I have to say sorry to the people of Hell’s Kitchen on Jo’s behalf. But it is for charity.”
And whilst the dramatic smooch was indeed executed for a good cause, it seems that the wistful Whiley didn’t find the challenge all that unpleasureable. “Angus has very soft skin, like a baby,” she sighed.
