Paul and Brian are sacked by the public vote, leaving finalists Barry and Adele to battle it out in Hell. After a tense service as one kitchen unit, our four remaining celeb chefs filed out of the kitchen to be fed their fate by Angus.
And Paul was the first to be pipped to the post by his three culinary colleagues. So how did he feel to be wrenched from the side of his master chef mentor?
“He scared the pants off me when I first came in, but I’ve really enjoyed it,” Paul said of Marco.
But who does he have tipped for the top spot?
“It’s a tricky call because they’ve all got certain qualities,” he mused. “But I’d like to see Barry get it because he tries so hard at everything.”
So with three left in the running, Angus announced the second finalist, and Brian was sacked, leaving Adele and Barry to battle it out on Monday’s live final.
“I’m actually quite happy!” a bouncy Brian declared, grabbing the bubbly from Angus and almost toppling off his stool. “It’s so stressful and I really wanted Adele to make it. She did so well.”
And all that coming from pastry pro extraordinaire. Surely dessert dynamo Dowling can give himself credit for that?
“I think I got into it slightly too much towards the end,” he sighed. “But there’s no way I could have done fish or the stove thing.”
So with Paul tipping Barry for the top, which of our two finalists would Brian place his bets on?
“Well I adore Barry and Adele,” he cooed. “But I think it would be amazing for Adele win.”
Adele and Barry battle it out for the coveted Hell’s Kitchen title during Monday’s live final, but who will it be?
