Marco’s staff appraisals begin

Each celeb chef has a one-on-one with Marco – but who will return to him in the kitchen tonight?

Tonight is the night when our two finalists are chosen by the public vote, and in the build-up to their biggest service since first embarking on Marco’s culinary journey, they were each pulled into his office for an appraisal.

“I think your main strengths are consistencies, constantly trying to do well,” Marco told Paul, who was the first to file in. "I think you still panic a little bit in the service…I think your main weakness is just having more than two fish on at once,” he added.

And it looks like Paul’s family could be in for a culinary treat when he gets home, as the keen cook is set on some spanking new gear for his kitchen.

“I’ve got a list of things I want to buy!” he sighed. “I could do with some new pans and a nice big fat chopping board.”

Next into the ring was Barry. It doesn’t matter how many times you go down in a service Barry, you come up fighting with your mash in your hands!” Marco mused.

“You’ve got to listen to me like you’ve never listened to me before tonight. That’s your one weakness.”

“Then don’t get annoyed with me if I ask you to repeat!” Barry bawled, remembering the previous night’s question filled service.

Crikey Barry, you've come so far, let's not start a fight with the boss now!
