She was the Aussie jungle Sheila who showered herself proud, but Gemma’s soapy bubble has been burst by the seventh public vote.

“I feel great, thank you everyone for getting me out!” the curvy camper beamed as Ant and Dec welcomed her into the studio. “I was ready yesterday.”

Yes, despite triumphing in both her Bat Out of Hell and Terror Train Trials, meeting her 5ive idol J Brown and lathering up something special, our jungle Gem was quite ready to rock home.

“I want to see my mum,” she sighed. “Being away is fine, as long as you’ve got a phone…

And as well as her mum (and a daily dose of chocolate and chips), Gemma has been craving her car and her mobile almost every day in camp.

But that hasn’t stopped her from loving that jungle and doing things she never thought she’d do… “I learned to cook a few things from John and tried fish I haven’t heard,” she explained. And also, roughing it without hair and make up!”

Gorgeous Gemma was hardly guilty of looking “rough” in there, which was in part thanks to her bond with former supermodel, Janice. “She did my hair for me, taught me to put make-up on and told me I needed my nails doing,” she recalled.

So as she rips off those wrappers and scoffs herself silly on choccies, the dunny and shower will become distant memories.

But the showers will live on right here, never you fear people…
