  1. How do I access the ITV Mobile Portal?

    To access the ITV Mobile Portal, text MOBILE to 63330 to be sent a direct link to the site. Open the link/load the page to connect to the ITV Mobile portal via the mobile internet/WAP. Don't forget to save a bookmark to the page in your phone.

  2. How do I bookmark the ITV Mobile Portal?

    Bookmarking saves your favourite WAP/mobile internet sites on your phone so that you can find them again later. Whilst you are in ITV Mobile, you can do this by selecting the 'Bookmark', 'Add bookmark' or 'Favourites' option from your phone's menu.

    To go back to the ITV site, all you have to do is select the ITV Mobile link from your 'Bookmarks'/'Favourites' menu, which will then connect you to the ITV Mobile Portal. If you need further help with bookmarking, please consult your phone's user manual.

  3. How much does it cost to access the ITV Mobile Portal?

    Texting a keyword to a shortcode to get a link to ITV Mobile content costs two standard messages. ITV does not charge users for browsing the portal. However, your operator will charge you for using the mobile internet/WAP services. Please contact your operator for more details, as these charges vary dependant on operator and tariff.

    There is premium ITV content available on the site (for example video downloads, ringtones, wallpapers and games), but this will be clearly indicated, you will be told how much each item costs before you decide to buy.

  4. Which handsets can access the portal?

    You can access the site with any WAP-capable handset, or any handset capable of accessing the internet. If your handset is not WAP/mobile internet capable, you will not be able to access this service at all.

    For the best experience, you should use a colour-screen handset. Check with your phone manufacturer for a detailed list of your handset capabilities.

  5. How can I enable my handset for internet browsing?

    If your phone is capable of WAP/internet access and you are still unable to access the site then you may need to have your phones settings configured correctly. While some handsets come pre-configured when you buy them, lots of handsets need to be manually configured for internet browsing. The settings you need are specific to your network, and depending on your handset manufacturer they may be located in a different part of your phone's menu. Usually they are included under 'connectivity' or 'internet settings. Contact your operator for more details:

  6. I've paid for my content but why have I not received the download?

    If you have paid for a product that is compatible with your handset on the ITV Mobile Portal but have not received the item, or have had a problem trying to download the item, we will resend it you free of charge. Please contact ITV Customer Care to arrange this. When contacting ITV Customer Care please ensure you provide your mobile number, handset type, mobile network operator and details of the product ordered.

    Please check that your handset is compatible with the product you want to order PRIOR to ordering. You should also ensure you have enough credit on your phone to pay for the entire order. We do not deliver any products until they are fully paid for. If there are severe network delays, orders can be delayed for up to 24 hours.

  7. How do I download premium content from ITV Mobile?

    Please ensure that you always read your phones user guide before trying to access premium content from ITV Mobile.

    Video Clips:
    1. Click on the link for the clip you wish to view and then click on 'Download this item' link.
    2. After a few seconds the clip will start to download. If available, you may be able to use the Pause or Stop buttons if you wish to halt this process.
    3. When the clip has downloaded, click Play to begin viewing it. To halt this process click Pause or Stop.
    4. Press ‘back’ to return to the portal.

    Wallpapers & Tones:
    1. Click on the link for the item you wish to purchase and then click on 'Download this item' link.
    2. Once you confirm the purchase the wallpaper or tone will be downloaded to your handset.
    3. View/listen to the download and remember to save immediately
    4. Press ‘back’ to return to the portal.

    Java Games:
    1. Click on the link for the item that you wish to purchase and then click on the ‘Download this item’ link.
    2. Once you confirm the purchase the game will be downloaded to your handset and you will need to install it.
    3. Once installed your game will saved on your phone (most likely in Games, Java Games or the Applications folder but this varies from handset to handset).

  8. Why didn’t the video clip I ordered download properly?

    There are two reasons why this might happen: Not enough memory: To increase your phone memory you will need to delete some old applications. Network connection: If you're in a poor coverage area, you may have lost your connection during the video download.

    Try again and if the problem persists contact ITV Customer Care. Please note that once you have paid for a piece of ITV premium content the product will be available to collect for 24 hours.

  9. Why can't I purchase content on the mobile site?

    If you are on pay-as-you-go tariff, check that you have enough credit before you attempt to purchase a product, If you attempt to purchase a product without enough credit you are automatically ‘blocked’ for 7 days. This means that within that period you will be unable to purchase any products from the ITV Mobile Portal. If your phone has credit and you still have problems with purchasing, please contact ITV Customer Care.

  10. Why am I not receiving anything when I text a keyword to a shortcode?

    There are occasionally delays with the Mobile Network Operators, and during high volume periods queues will often form. If you have not received a timely reply text message (within 30 minutes), please try the following:

    - Check that you have space in your Inbox
    - Check that you have a strong network connection (a good reception)
    - Check that you have text in the correct keyword to the correct shortcode
    - Try turning your phone off for 10 seconds

    If you still have not received the text after 30 minutes, please contact the ITV Customer Care if you require any further clarification.

  11. Why am I receiving unwanted text messages?

    Please note that ITV does not run any subscription ringtone services, nor does it sell on viewers mobile data without a viewers prior explicit agreement. Please phone your Mobile Network Operator, quoting the 5 digit shortcode that you are receiving the messages from. They will be able to tell you who it belongs to and give you their customer contact details. If you are receiving subscription text messages, you should be able to reply 'STOP' to the shortcode you have been receiving messages from to halt them. If you are still unable to unsubscribe after your Mobile Network Operator has given you the service providers details, you can contact ICTIS, the regulatory body for the premium rate telecommunications. www.ictsis.org.uk
