The 60 Minute Makeover team are in Runcorn, Cheshire today helping Elisa transform the home of brothers Tony and Paul Crompton.
Paul & Tony’s mum Mandy died suddenly two years ago after having breathing difficulties. As a family they lived in run down flats which were knocked down due to a regeneration scheme. They moved into one of the new housing trust properties but sadly had only lived there for 9 months when their mother passed away.
It has been really important to Tony & Paul keeping the house on & maintaining it as their mum would have wanted. They do their very best with the house but it’s been a very steep learning curve. All their furniture has been passed down & the house is fairly bare with mismatched furnishings.
They keep it very tidy but haven’t much of a clue when it comes to DIY or decorating.
That’s where the 60 Minute Makeover team come in! Today's designer is John Amabile. He wants to create a masculine and stylish home for the two boys. They have completely different tastes so it’s going to be a challenge to combine their needs in the living room and kitchen.
The boys both have basic bedrooms that are without impact – John wants to give them rooms to be proud of and a house they can call home.
