Jilly began her career as a journalist, contributing to national newspapers and magazines before presenting popular series, Food & Drink.
The show lasted 18 years and Jilly became the most widely-known wine connoisseur in the country. She’s helped co-write several books on the subject and still makes regular television appearances as a wine expert and personality.
Jilly has also presented BBC1’s The Great Antiques Hunt, Going, Going, Gone and Holiday and took part in the 2005 series of ITV1’s I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, where she famously ate kangaroo testicles during a gruelling bushtucker trial.
Her interests include gardening, animals, wildlife, horses, ghosts and palmistry. She also appeared in stage play The Vagina Monologues at the Royal Albert Hall. Most recently, Jilly starred in an episode of Wife Swap, where she exchanged lives with Cynthia O'Neal - the wife of Alexander O'Neal.
