Born in a tiny Italian fishing village, Aldo Zilli first realised his passion for cooking when he helped his mother in the kitchen.
At 19, he came to England and began working in Italian restaurants, transforming them from little-know venues to celebrity haunts. He now owns five restaurants including the trendy Signor Zilli in Soho and Zilli Fish Too on Drury Lane.
His culinary accolades include Best Italian Restaurant Award in the London Restaurant Awards; Best Media Restaurant for Zilli Fish; and Best Café. He’s also launched a cookery school in his home town of Pescara. Aldo is a regular guest on Daily Cooks and Saturday Cooks. Always game for a laugh, Aldo famously lost weight on ITV’s Celebrity Fit Club, and sang for charity in Celebrity X Factor.
