Spurned celebs

We mere mortals can only send nasty texts when drunk as revenge for a relationship mishap, but celebs have the power of the media at their disposal and often enjoy very public displays of annoyance at a former partner. Justin's 'Cry Me a River' was supposedly about his break-up with Britney and her infidelity. 

In her autobiography, Jordan claims that after her break-up with Dane Bowers due to his cheating, she donned sexy knickers and went to his flat for one final romp, 'as revenge'. She has also cast aspersions on his physical manly prowess in interviews.

Harry the drummer from McFly can't decide if actually did sleep with starlet Lindsay Lohan, he admitted it, denied it and now refuses to speak about it. Lindsay claims it never happened. This didn't stop his band-mates recording a song called 'Please Please Lindsay Please' making fun of the affair.

Les has spoken at length about his disastrous marriage to Amanda Holden in his new autobiography. She has responded by claiming Les performed his Mavis Riley impression while the two were in bed together.

Eddie responded to the end of his relationship with Spice Girl Mel B and her subsequent pregnancy by denying everything. He refused to believe he was the father of the child until a blood test proved it.

Britney denied rumours of marital trouble with hubby Kevin Federline. Then, after months of being photographed in unglamorous sweats, she appeared on a talk show in a revealing black dress and sexy new hair-do. The divorce was announced the next day. Was she showing K-Fed what he'd be missing once they had split?

After their marriage ended, Brian McFadden recorded a song called 'Be True To Your Woman' about the relationship. It is alledged that his relationship with Delta Goodrem began before the marriage ended. Kerry won I'm a Celebrity... soon after the divorce and started a whole new phase of her career.

Often celebs keep splits amicable for the sake of the kids. In the case of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger there was a court order barring them from talking to the press about their divorce. But things became very public when an abusive message left by Baldwin to one of his kids was leaked. Baldwin has said 'parental alienation' caused the outburst and is planning a book about surviving messy divorces.

Sometimes a spurning can be the best thing that ever happened to you. Rebecca Loos was David Beckham's personal assistant and claimed the two had an affair. The Beckhams have always denied this, but it hasn't stopped Rebecca carving out a media career.

Perhaps the most recent, and extreme, example of love gone wrong is Macca and Mucca, whose relationship split was front page news for months as the divorce case dragged on. Heather walked away with £24 million, but still didn't seem happy.
