Breakfast
Cereals are simple and easy, but to improve the nutritious value further, you could try a muesli based cereal. Muesli is more satiating, especially with a banana on top. Also, maybe have a small glass of orange juice – shop branded is fine.
Lunch If at home, an easy and balanced hot option could be:
Three fish fingers, jacket potato, baked beans with salad Jacket potato with tuna, light mayo and salad
Scrambled eggs (two whites and one whole) with two slices of whole-meal bread and baked beans or, even better, tinned tomatoes)
Dinner Meals high in fat, sugar and salt should be avoided, especially after 7.30pm to 8pm. Eating your evening meal earlier enables a good digestion, less fat storage and a good night’s sleep.
Make the effort to eat family meals together so it is a more significant part of the day, allowing the body to establish routine eating habits.
