Trinny and Susannah

No-nonsense style queens Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine are as famed for their outrageous stunts as they are for their blunt fashion advice.

The feisty fashionistas regularly hit the hit headlines during the Undress the Nation series thanks to their jaw-dropping stunts, which included convincing hundreds of ladies to whip off their bras in the streets.

And, they shocked viewers by getting completely naked on a Sussex hillside for the finale of ITV1’s The Great British Body. The pair stripped off with 300 volunteers for a giant living sculpture in celebration of all types of body shapes and quirks.

Trinny and Susannah met at a dinner party held by Susannah’s then boyfriend Viscount Linley, but didn’t hit it off at first. It wasn’t until they teamed up in 1994 to write Ready to Wear, a down-to-earth weekly style guide for the Daily Telegraph which ran for seven years that they became close friends.

In 2001 they joined the BBC to present makeover show What Not to Wear, which ran for five series. Even celebrities didn’t escape their brutally honest advice. Jo Brand, Jeremy Clarkson and Lesley Joseph were all given dressing downs on the show.

The straight-talking pair joined ITV in 2006 to present Trinny & Susannah Undress, helping married couples rebuild their confidence and relationships. The show was re-launched in 2007 as Trinny and Susannah Undress the Nation and they began tackling themes beginning with breasts, shape, age, men and uniforms.
