Karen chose her daughter Alyson in a bid to "showcase her skills! She is a creative and very skillful chef. We worked fine together - we were ourselves, which is not always calm."

The American decided on a US theme for her party and decided to cook up a fishy surprise to cater for non-meat eaters. She boasts: "We made absolutely everything on the day, but planned it all a few days before. Some shopping was done the day before, fresh fish and bread were purchased on the day."

Karen was left surprised by Stephen's stay in her home. She reveals: "He retired very early before all the guests had left, which I found slightly strange. He claimed he was tired; however, I have it on good authority that he proceeded to talk to the webcam for the next 90 minutes. I thought that was peculiar."
