Loose Women - Denise Welch

Denise Welsh grew up in Co Durham and decided she wanted to become an actress when she was just 14. She joined Loose Women in 2005 and has juggled her role as a panellist alongside acting. 

Denise is currently on a break from Loose Women filming the fourth series of Waterloo Road but will return later this year. Here she is pictured with her co-stars at the TV Quick Awards 2006 with their Best New Drama gong.

Denise is snapped looking gorgeous in green alongside fellow Loose Women Sherie Hewson and Lynda Bellingham at The Royal Television Society Awards 2008.

In 2008, Denise and her actor husband Tim Healy celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. The couple live in Cheshire and have two children Matthew, 20, and seven-year-old Louie. 

The couple were left red-faced recently after turning up to the wrong awards ceremony! The pair posed happily for photographers at Empire Film Awards 2008 thinking they were at the Laurence Olivier Awards! The ceremonies were being held at the same hotel. 

How showbiz! Denise was snapped with her pal Dale Winton outside celebrity haunt the Ivy in London in February 2008.  And, that gorgeous young man she’s kissing…? That’s her eldest son, Matthew.

Hanging out with more celebrities, Denise and Tim were snapped with Ozzy Osbourne at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2004.  And look, isn’t that Shane Ritchie in the background? 

Look at the relief on her face! Denise was snapped crossing the finishing line at The Great Manchester Run 2006. She was one of 25,000 to take part in the 10km race through the city centre. 

Denise's role as Marsha Stubbs in ITV's Solider, Solider was her big break in television and revealed her talent for singing.  Her double A-side single 'You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me' / ‘Cry Me A River'  reached No23 in the charts in 1995.

Denise caused chaos on the cobbles as brassy barmaid Natalie Horricks in Coronation Street. Her character famously had an affair with Sally Webster’s husband Kevin. 

Corrie catfights are always entertaining, but the moment Sally slapped Natalie in the Street across the face after discovering the affair was a classic! Denise waved goodbye to Weatherfield in 2000 after three years

Denise appeared in Auf Wiedershen Pet with husband Tim in the 80s  but that wasn’t the only time the pair have acted alongside each other. Here they are on Come Snow, Come Blow in 1993. They’ve were reunited on screen again recently on Waterloo Road.
