Stylish and chic, Yorkshire lass Jane McDonald is one sophisticated Loose Woman.
With her down-to-earth outlook on life and sky-high heels, Jane has brought common sense and sparkle to the show since 2004.
Proud of her Wakefield roots, Jane still lives in her hometown with her beloved mum when she’s not touring the country with her band or staying over in London to appear on Loose Women.
The sultry singer began her musical career touring clubs and pubs in the North but became an overnight celebrity on BBC docusoap The Cruise. Around 14 million viewers watched her romance with manager Henrik Brixen unfold on the show. The couple tied the knot in a televised ceremony in 1998 but have since divorced.
Her popularity with audiences on The Cruise led to presenting work on BBC’s National Lottery and ITV's Star for a Night, which famously launched Joss Stone's career. Jane also appeared on Return of the Cruise to celebrate the show’s 10th year anniversary in August 2008.
During the same month, Jane released her eighth album. The self-titled record reached No7 in the charts.
When it comes to romance, Jane was adamant she’d, “Rather have a cuppa tea” – until recently! The stylisth singleton recently revealed on the show she's started a new romance with her former childhood sweetheart, Eddie Rothe.
