Tina Hobley's one of the longest serving members at Holby City. She first appeared on our screens seven years ago as feisty man-eater Chrissie Williams who had a terrible habit of rubbing people up the wrong way.
After a string of affairs with most of her colleagues at Holby, last Christmas Chrissie thought she'd found the perfect man, but she's soon in for a big shock. Realising that surgeon Stuart McElroy isn't in fact the man of her dreams, but a violent alcoholic, he viciously attacks her during an argument.
Tina said: “I've been waiting for a storyline like this for ages; it doesn't get much better than throwing yourself around theatre being chased by a gorgeous doctor with a scalpel.”
The attack leaves Chrissie physically and mentally scared and needing a break away from Holby; giving seven-month pregnant Tina the perfect excuse to take a well-deserved break before baby number two arrives.
Tina said: “I only told the cast when I was four months pregnant; we managed to cover my bump with my enormous and very un-sexy uniform.”
