Mega diet pill to be sold in shops for the first time

A diet pill that boosts weight loss by up to 50% will hit British chemist shops in two months. The drug, which costs £1.50 a day, was last night approved for sale by the European Commission. The pill- called Orlistat or Alli- will be available without the need for a prescription. It works by blocking a quarter of food fat being absorbed into the body.
