This Morning - Save Our School Garden

David Domoney

Save Our School Garden

In December 2008, Hillmead Primary School in Bishops Stortford was burnt to the ground by a devastating fire that broke out in the computer room.

Thanks to the efforts of the teachers and the fire services, all 155 pupils were evacuated safely from the building. The children of Hillmead are now residing in temporary portacabins and are hoping to move into their new school, which is currently under construction, next year.

Before the fire broke out, the school had planned to start a gardening club so This Morning has sent resident gardener David Domoney to the school to spread some green fingered joy and help the gardening club get back on its feet!
