Burlesque

Remeber when Fern impressed Phil with her burlesque moves, as a tribute to Dita Von Teese? Enjoy the clip again, as burlesque expert Gwendoline Lamour drops into the show.

Burlesque, the art of seduction, has been a popular art form since the 1940s. In recent years it has experienced a resurgence with American beauty Dita Von Teese leading the way.

England's answer to Dita - Gwedonline Lamour, has been a self taught burlesque dancer for eight years and has danced all over the World, including even performing for Elton John at the White Tie and Tiara Ball.

Gwendoline believes burlesque is all about empowerment and confidence: "Burlesque has been about a fashion and people get drawn into that. Women then see performances and think 'I want to be that confident and sexy'. In fact over half my audiences are female."
