When Jude Coupland's partner Mark (37) died suddenly in May 2007 she wrote a storybook entitled 'My Dad Has Wings' - inspired by the way her four young children Lewi (8), Macie (6), Chase (3) and Deven (2) coped with their loss.
After Mark’s passing, Jude was incredibly open with her children regarding their father’s death, "Honesty was one of Mark's qualities so that's the way I dealt with his death. As a family we had always been very open so it was easy to talk about our feelings after Mark died."
After the service, Jude recalls that the children kept coming up with images of their father in heaven such as annoying people by turning over to Sky Sports News.
On the book creation, Jude revealed, "I decided that I had to write their thoughts down as I thought it would be useful for when they were older when they could pass the ideas on to their own children.
Jude (35) now hopes the book will now help other children come to terms with the death of a loved one.
