This week Steve Wilson jets off to the Le Marche region of Italy and experiences the laid back charm of this beautiful rural area. With a mixture of lush green countryside, miles of coastline and snow capped mountains this is a perfect destination to suit any family.

For something a bit different Steve visited “L’Antico Gusto” a local farm in the town of Penna.  As well as animals and a playground, you can taste some of the amazing farm produce in their restaurant. As with everywhere in Le Marche you’ll receive a warm welcome. If you ask nicely you might even be able to see the food being made and pick up a few tips. And if you find something you like, the chances are, they sell it in their farm shop, so you can take it home for later. Perfect if you’re self catering.
