Steve Wilson jetted off to a foreign paradise, just two hours flight away is the beautiful Balearic island of Mallorca. There’s a lot more to Mallorca than meets the eye and, with exclusive resorts and celebrities flocking here, this is the island for reinvention.
The largest of the Balearic Islands, Mallorca has a modern international airport in Palma. After arriving, Steve headed north to the area of Pollenca which is a 44-mile drive away through beautiful open countryside. This region is a world away from the built up resorts of Magaluf and Palma Nova and as you drive around you’ll see the skyline is clear from hotels and bars and dotted around are beautiful villas and farmhouses in stunning settings.
Villas can be a cheaper option than hotels, for families in particular, as you pay a flat rate for a villa and not per person. Plus you get more space, privacy and a lot more luxury than your average self catering apartment. For more information on great places to stay please visit Mallorca Farmhouses’ website www.mfh.co.uk
