FAMILY PLANNING  www.fpa.org.uk  We have been advised by a member of the pharmaceutical industry that over the counter emergency contraceptive pills, do not become less effective when taken frequently as was incorrectly indicated in a recent show. Women who have used over the counter emergency contraception are advised to discuss regular forms of contraception with their healthcare professional.The  FPA (family planning association) website also states that missing pills, vomiting or severe long-lasting diarrhoea can make the oral contraceptive pill less effective. This has now been corrected on our show for future broadcasts.
