A Briton on a paragliding trip in Argentina has plunged to his death after slipping loose from a harness, according to reports.
David Mather, 28, from London, crashed 230ft to the ground after he apparently became detached from his instructor.
Witnesses said Mr Mather began shouting desperately almost as soon as he set off after realising he was not secure.
His instructor reportedly tried in vain to seize him as he slipped.
Mr Mather was on holiday in the mountainous province of Salta in northwest Argentina, visiting his brother Gareth, 29, who lives and works there.
His family accused the manager and instructor at the adventure tourist company of negligence.
