The world's worst boxer is hanging up his gloves for the last time after losing 256 matches.

Peter Buckley made a name for himself as a plucky fighter from the Midlands back in the early 90s.

His career has taken in fights against several world champions, including Prince Naseem Hamed, Duke McKenzie, Scott Harrison and Colin McMillan.

But after decades of losing and many, many bruises, it is finally 291 and out for the man with the worst record in the history of boxing.

He said: "I just love competing. I love fighting, I love boxing. Once you get bitten by that bug it's hard to shake it off.

"I always give it my all. I never went in half-hearted and I always tried my best."
