Jonathan is the only on-screen member of the team to have been ever present since the very first show in 1999. He thinks his job is one of the best in TV because of the variety of stories he covers.
He has interviewed Tony Blair and Sir Bob Geldof, was the first person on TV to have his genes tested and was the only broadcaster to interview Doctor Atkins, of diet fame. (He also road tested the diet and lost a stone in two weeks but then regained it with interest).
He has presented many other shows for ITV1 including the BAFTA nominated House of Horrors, The Man in the Van, and Vote for Me.
Jonathan has also written five books, including the best selling “How To Make Your Million From The Internet (And What To Do If You Don’t )’’ and “ Eva Cassidy: Her True Story’’ a biography of the late singer ( following a Tonight profile of her). The film rights to his latest, “How to Survive Your Mother” have been bought by ITV.
Before joining ITV Jonathan worked for the BBC for 15 years, first as a reporter on Radio Bristol, then the Radio 4 Today programme. He also presented Watchdog with Anne Robinson, whom he would fondly refer to on screen as “Annie Baby”.
He lives in West London and likes Scrabble, cricket and golf but is not as boring as that makes him sound.
