PlayIt was a crime that shocked the country. In June this year Phil and Amanda Peak lost their two boys Arron and Ben when professional footballer Luke McCormick ploughed into their car on the M6 killing both boys and leaving Phil with horrific injuries. McCormick was twice over the drink-drive limit when the crash happened.
Whilst trying to come to terms with their loss, the couple are now campaigning for our attitudes to drink driving to change once and for all. In Britain motorists are allowed to drive with more alcohol in their blood than anywhere else in Europe and still thousands ignore the limit. 460 people are killed every year by people driving under the influence.
Tonight also carried out a survey on 3000 people and found that a staggering 21% of people admitted driving the morning after they had been drinking when they feared they might be over the alcohol driving limit.
