ITV1 celebrates the eighties in this one off special Now That’s What I Call 1983. A host of the biggest acts will take centre stage performing their classic hits that topped the charts during this celebrative year.
Twenty five years ago, Howard Jones (performing What is Love and New Song), Nik Kershaw (performing I Won’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me), Tony Hadley (performing True), Paul Young (performing Wherever I Lay My Hat), Kajagoogoo (performing Too Shy), Ali Campbell (performing Red Red Wine) and Nick Heywood (performing Whistle Down The Wind) Heaven 17 (Temptation) released some of their biggest records, making them household names with legions of fans.
Now for one night only, viewers will be able to see their favourite bands back on one stage performing their biggest hits from 1983.
Presented by Denise Van Outen this special show will also take a look back at the year that saw musical giant Michal Jackson release his award winning Thriller video, the introduction of the Compact Disc and our days suddenly besieged by morning television.
