Zak and Shadrach had just poached some pheasants when Nathan caught them red-handed. But he shocked the Dingles by offering to stay quiet in return for a favour. "The grounds are overrun with rabbits at the moment," he said. "You get rid and I won't tell anyone I saw you." Zak didn't believe him at first. "And you won't say anything?" he asked. "Promise," replied Nathan. They had a deal.

Lee was just about to go and meet Katie at the pub when Nathan told him and Sam that he'd heard gunshots in the woods. Of course, Nathan's only intention was to prevent Lee from seeing Katie. As head gamekeeper, Lee had little choice and headed into the woods with Sam to investigate.

Nathan was a busy buy and some time later, Andy spotted him talking to a man at Butler's Farm and asked him what was going on. "You're right - you should be kept in the loop," said Nathan. "We're planning on extending our gravel pit across these fields." Clearly this was revenge for Andy not finishing with his sister.

Back in the village, Val mentioned to David that she'd seen him giving Leyla money. "So what?" he asked. "It was for her mother - she's in a nursing home!" Val and Eric smirked. "She's just taken the morning off," said Val. "You'll never see that money again."

"It crossed my mind that you might be involved in this," said Lee. "You're finished."

Poor Lee managed to free his leg from the trap but was in excruciating pain. He cried out for Sam at the top of his voice, but no one came. He had no choice but to get up and hobble as far as he could. But the pain was too much and he collapsed by a tree and passed out from the pain and the blood loss.

Leyla was back and by this time, Val and Eric had planted plenty of seeds of suspicion in David's head that she was a gold-digger. "So, how was your mum?" David asked Leyla. "They say she's getting worse, although I didn't understand half of what they told me," she explained. "I don't know how I'm going to carry on paying the fees." David told her he couldn't give her any more money but she said she wasn't asking. Were Leyla's problems genuine?

Lee's leg was going to be fine but the doctors wanted him to stay in overnight. When Mick arrived at the hospital, he had no idea what had happened to his grandson, so it was the first question on his lips. "It's all the Dingles' fault," said Lee. "I got caught in one of their traps." Mick's face fell. Would he come clean and confess that he was the poacher?

Sam stormed into Wishing Well Cottage and told Zak what had happened to Lee. "For the last time: I did not set any traps!" bellowed Zak. But his family didn't believe him. "That's it!" he cried. "I will not be called a liar in my own home!" And with that he stormed out. How would they feel when they learned he was telling the truth?
