Scene by scene: Tue 14 Apr

Lexi was still peeved with Carl for abandonning their dinner date in favour of a night in with Jimmy. Carl offered to make it up to her by buying her lunch at the Woolpack.

However, he had a short memory and when Lexi turned up for their date, he'd forgotten and said he was too busy to go. "We need to talk," said Lexi, worried that Jimmy and Nicola had more of a spark in their relationship that she and Carl. "We are the newly married couple - not Jimmy and Nicola." But Carl gave her a sheepish smile and told her it would have to wait.

Elsewhere, David was jealous when he saw Leyla with Nathan and asked her what was going on. "I'm confused. I want to know that you think of me more than just a cash-point," he told her. Leyla couldn't believe David thought she was a gold-digger and told him not to call her again.

Meanwhile, Lee wouldn't give Mick the time of day but Mick begged for the chance to explain what he'd done. "I am so broke," he said, close to tears. "I owe the bank six grand, I was desperate. You're the last person I wanted to hurt." 

Lee saw how devastated his grandfather was and softened. "Why don't I move back in and pay some of your bills for you?" he asked.

At Dingle cottage, Lisa was worried when Belle was convinced Zak would be at the Easter show. But he still hadn't come home... "If he upsets my little girl, I won't be responsible for my actions," Lisa told Chas and Shadrach.

Over at the Woolpack, Nathan had talked Katie into having a drink with him and announced that he was going to offer Lee his job back.

But when Lee came in, he scoffed at Nathan's offer, making Nathan look like the good guy. Katie tried to persuade him to take his job back but Lee told her not to interfere in his business. "Don't worry," Katie told Nathan. "It wasn't your fault. And he obviously doesn't want my help either."

Katie and Nathan spent a pleasant evening together and he walked her home. It was clear she was expecting a proper kiss goodnight and was surprised when Nathan lightly pecked her on the cheek.

But Nathan knew exactly was he was doing. He had finally reeled Katie in and deliberately left her wanting more...
