Mick talked Lee into swallowing his pride and asking for his job back. So the gamekeeper went back to Home Farm with his tail between his legs. While Katie was in the office, Nathan was nice as pie about it and told Lee that he could start back immediately.

When Katie had gone, Nathan told Lee: "Conditions of your re-employment are that you control your temper and that your relatives don't steal our livestock." Lee put rule number one into action and managed not to sock Nathan for his sarcasm.

Meanwhile, Andy was shocked when Natasha Wylde invited him to a shoot at Home Farm the following day. "I'll see how I'm fixed," he said, half smiling. "Good. Let Maisie know," said Natasha. Was she really giving her daughter's boyfriend a chance?

David was sick of Eric's obsession with making money - both at work and on the council. He asked Alan Turner, who had run against Eric in the local elections years ago, to do it again. But Alan replied: "You've already got one old codger in the race, you don't want another one! You need some young blood." This got David thinking.

Elsewhere, the Easter show was in full swing but Zak still hadn't returned and Belle was gutted. She stood up on stage and recited her piece from memory, but it was flat and lifeless. Where was Zak?

Eric found David looking up the elections on the internet and laughed. "Reckon you can unseat me do you?" he asked. "Why not?" replied David, defensively.

David needed ten signatures before he could take part in the election and Eric was shocked when he got them. "Welcome to the real politics," said David.

Belle had spent most of the afternoon in tears over Zak's absence and told Lisa that he had broken Dingle law. "Never let family down," she said. "That's what he always says. He knew how much I wanted him there and he broke his promise. I want him up in front of the family." Looks like Zak is going to be in serious trouble - when he decides to come home.
