Scene by scene: Wed 8 Apr

David bumped into Leyla and asked if he could buy her lunch. "I know you're skint but I think I can stretch to a sarnie," he said, smiling. "I'm not a sponger," replied Leyla, wanting him to know the score. "I know you're not," he replied.

Elsewhere, Carl and Lexi were back from their honeymoon and Lexi enjoyed telling Nicola about the beautiful room they had with a bed "the size of a squash court." Nicola asked: "Was the food good?" to which Lexi replied: "Exquisite!" Nicola said: "Yeah, I thought your jeans looked a bit tighter."

Sam and Lee were out in the woods again when Lee found another nasty trap with blood stains. The poacher had caught himself a deer. "If you know something Sam," he said, "now's the time to say." But Sam insisted that Zak had nothing to do with it. Lee wandered off to look for more traps.

Just then, Sam spotted Zak hiding behind a tree. Zak put his finger up to his mouth so that Sam wouldn't draw attention to his presense. Now Sam was convinced that Zak was the poacher.

Nathan was furious to find Maisie openly flirting with Andy in the Woolpack. "Why do you have to behave like such a slapper?" he asked her. "Mum and dad are worried sick about you." Maisie replied: "Why do you always take their side?" Nathan told her to end her relationship with Andy. "Yeah, right," she said.

Determined to throw his weight around some more, Nathan had a go at Lee about the missing deer. "I was going to tell you but we found three more traps," said Lee. "They'll run out eventually." Nathan didn't care. "If any more go missing I am holding you responsible," said Nathan.

The rich boy then paid Andy a visit at Butler's Farm and ordered him to dump Maisie. "Make her hate you - without doing your usual stuff, yeah?" he asked, referring to Andy's reputation as a wife beater. "You even speak to my sister again and I will make your life miserable in ways you can't even imagine."

Lee, who had been lusting after Katie but was convinced she liked Nathan, had a pleasant surprise that afternoon. "Me and him?" Katie asked, looking amused. "You're joking aren't you?" Lee replied: "Well, I just thought - you know - I always see you with him." Katie grinned. "That's because I can't get a look in with the guy I really like." Lee couldn't believe it but took the bull by the horns and asked Katie out.

David and Leyla enjoyed their lunch together but when he asked her what she was up to that night, she said she was busy. He assumed she wasn't interested, but that wasn't the case. That night, David heard noises in the factory and thought there was a burglar. But it was Leyla. "Do you want to tell me what's going on?" asked David, sternly. "My mum's in a nursing home and I need the overtime," she explained. "But no one is supposed to know."

When Sam got home, he was gutted to see they were having venison for dinner. But Zak still insisted he wasn't the poacher and became angry with Sam for going on about it. "We got a good deal from the butchers!" insisted Lisa. But something in her eye suggested she wasn't telling the truth.

The Wyldes had gone for an evening drink at the Woolie and when Andy walked in, Nathan told his parents that Maisie was about to get dumped. But instead, Andy and Maisie kissed passionately across the bar. Nathan was livid and Natasha got her coat and walked out.

Nathan waited outside for Andy. "Do you think I'm going to let you get away with humiliating my parents like that?" he seethed. "Your home, your job, I can take it all away - just like that!" But Andy just smirked. "That would impress Maisie wouldn't it?" he said. "You breathe a word of this!" said Nathan, throwing a punch at Andy. But Andy ducked and Nathan's fist hit the wall.

Andy laughed and wandered off, leaving Nathan fuming and in a great deal of pain. Was it all-out war between Andy and Nathan?
