Carrie Nicholls’ sister Lexi makes an interesting entrance in Emmerdale this week – by climbing through a window at Home Farm.
And if that doesn’t hint at trouble, the blonde bombshell soon makes it clear she’s no saint.
Lexi, who has something of a criminal background, also threatens to expose all sorts of secrets that Carrie would rather she wouldn’t.
“Lexi represents everything that Carrie doesn’t like,” Sally Oliver, who plays her, told InsideSoap. “You can tell the pair of them aren’t that close and have a very turbulent history.”
As Carrie tries to get on side with Kings, the last thing she needs is for Lexi to ruin it all. So she’s not impressed when she finds out her sister was recently banged up for drug charges.
“Carrie’s furious when she finds that out and desperately wants to keep it a secret after Lexi asks to stay,” explained Sally.
While the women in the village remain wary of the flamboyant Londoner, Lexi makes rather a different impression on the men.
“The villagers aren’t going to know what’s hit them.” Sally promised. “She doesn’t act like anyone else because she isn’t prepared to acknowledge the rules that everyone’s meant to live by.
“Women tend to be quite wary of Lexi because of her self-confidence, but it’s safe to say that men are a bit more impressed.
“She’s really going to shake things up.”
