It’s been a gripping few months watching Nicola De Souza do her utmost to get rid of her poor old husband for his money.

However, we can’t help but wonder how wily old Donald hasn’t guessed that his vixen of a wife is trying to kill him.

In our interview with actor Michael Jayston, he admits that Donald as been a tad naïve.

“I don’t think Donald has had any idea what Nicola’s been up to, otherwise he would have taken some action,” said Michael.

“He’s been completely naïve on that front, although he’s not a naïve man per se.”

In fact, Donald’s first reaction when David tells him the truth is to laugh. But when he thinks about it a little, all the pieces fit together. Finally.

Get ready for the De Souza showdown on Monday, 17 March – it’s going to be a whopper.
